On Saturday October 31st Tender Loving Care Pet Nursing Hotel hosted its 1st Annual Halloween Costume Contest & Parade! It was a smashing success! We hosted the furbabies and pet parents in our parking lot, served coffee and gave away Dog Treats from Hill’s Science Diet. We also gave out prizes to the costumed contestants who won 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place prizes in four categories:
- Most Bewitching Costume
- Most Boo-tiful Costume
- Scariest Costume
- Most Creative Costume
In all we had about 35 Dogs come out to compete and the creativity was off the charts. One of the most creative get ups on display was a family (including the fur baby) who came dressed as a Taco, Fire Hot Taco Sauce, Verde Salsa Sauce, and Hot Taco Sauce! Truly adorable!!
My own love – Mimi Fleuranges, was dressed up as a Hawaiian Belle of the Ball! While we had mostly Dogs as participants, we hope for our 2021 Easter Parade, we attract some cats!
Thanks to all of our customers who really showed out and welcome to all the new folks who came out the ‘strut their stuff’ with their furbabies. A special thanks to our fantastic Judges who came decked out in full costume:

WIBW-TV aired a story that night and we loved the publicity for Tender Loving Care Pet Nursing Hotel. We can’t wait for our Easter Parade, hope to see you and your furbaby there!
